ABOUT US

National Ground Game is building a new generation of Democratic political infrastructure focused on reaching young voters, building a national network of college chapters, developing emerging political talent, and creating modern political media and organizing programs.

We are looking for a highly organized, politically engaged, and motivated intern to work directly with our executive team and support projects across college organizing, political operations, creator development, social media, public relations, and partnerships.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You will help execute the work, not simply observe it.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Executive Team & Political Operations Intern will provide direct support to our executive team while helping move key projects forward across the organization.

College chapter coordination is a major part of this role. You will communicate with student organizers and chapter leaders, help launch new chapters, track chapter activity, and make sure our growing network has the support and follow-through it needs.

You will also assist with executive team projects, creator scouting and vetting, social media research, PR initiatives, and sponsor outreach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

College Chapter Coordination

  • Communicate with college chapter leaders and student organizers

  • Assist with onboarding and launching new chapters

  • Track chapter recruitment, events, voter registration, and other activities

  • Maintain chapter databases and tracking systems

  • Follow up with chapter leaders and ensure projects stay on track

  • Help identify and recruit promising student leaders

  • Assist with campus events and Unfuck America Tour stops

Executive Team Support

  • Assist with day-to-day priorities and special projects

  • Conduct research on political developments, organizations, individuals, creators, and opportunities

  • Prepare research, briefing materials, spreadsheets, and other documents

  • Track deadlines, follow-ups, and outstanding projects

  • Assist with meetings, events, and external calls

  • Take ownership of assigned projects and see them through to completion

Creator & Social Media

  • Scout emerging political, cultural, and social media creators

  • Research and vet potential creator partners

  • Identify promising talent across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and other platforms

  • Maintain a database of prospective creators

  • Monitor social media for emerging political conversations, trends, creators, and content opportunities

  • Assist with social media research and content projects

PR & Sponsor Outreach

  • Research potential sponsors, partners, and media opportunities

  • Identify companies, organizations, creators, and individuals who may be strong prospective partners

  • Build and maintain sponsor and partnership prospect lists

  • Assist with outreach and follow-ups

  • Prepare research and briefing materials for external conversations

  • Support the PR team with special projects

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is:

  • Highly organized and reliable

  • Politically engaged and interested in grassroots organizing

  • A strong writer and communicator

  • An excellent researcher

  • Familiar with social media and online culture

  • Comfortable communicating with students, organizers, creators, executives, and outside partners

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

  • Resourceful and willing to figure things out without constant direction

Previous experience in politics, campaigns, organizing, communications, PR, social media, or nonprofit work is preferred but not required.

THE CANDIDATE WE WANT

We're looking for someone who is smart, curious, organized, and plugged in.

You understand politics and the culture surrounding it. You know how social media works and pay attention to emerging creators and trends. You're equally comfortable communicating with a college chapter leader, researching a potential sponsor, finding an emerging creator, or helping the executive team solve a problem.

You don't need a checklist for every task.

You notice what needs to be done, figure out how to do it, and get it done.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE

National Ground Game is primarily remote, but Las Vegas candidates are strongly preferred because this position will work closely with the executive team and may occasionally require in-person work.

Exceptional candidates outside Las Vegas will also be considered.

20–35 hours per week at $18/hour.

Hours may vary based on organizational needs, events, and major tour or campaign periods.
